Meet the Team

Christopher K. Currin, R.Ph.

Managing Partner/Director Of Pharmacy
I’m Chris Currin, and I am the Director of Pharmacy and co-founder of Rx3 Compounding Pharmacy. I attended Hampden Sydney College and Medical College of Virginia School of Pharmacy at Virginia Commonwealth University. I spent my summers during high school working at my father’s pharmacy, and I decided to follow in his footsteps to become a pharmacist. Soon after graduating from pharmacy school, I partnered with him to open Rx3 Compounding Pharmacy. My post-graduate education has included certifications in Pain Management, Hospice Care, Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, and Sterile Compounding.

C.F. Sonny Currin, R.Ph

Partner/Pharmacist
I am Sonny Currin, and I am the co-founder of Rx3 Pharmacy, along with my son, Chris. I am a native of Oxford, NC, and I came to Chesterfield County, VA at an early age. I graduated from Medical College of Virginia and became a partner in a retail pharmacy business shortly after graduating. I owned and operated a chain of five pharmacies before partnering with my son, to form Rx3. From 2011-2015, I served as campaign chairman for VCU’s Center for Compounding Practice and Research. Together with then Dean, Victor Yanchick, I created the vision for a functioning instructional sterile compounding lab in the R. Blackwell Smith Building within the VCU School of Pharmacy. That facility, which opened in 2016, now trains hundreds of pharmacy students and practitioners on sterile compounding techniques and regulations. I also enjoy real estate development, and I am presently a partner in two medical office facilities in Chester.

Fay McCain, R.Ph.

Pharmacist
I am Fay McCain, and I was born in Harrisonburg, VA. I am the youngest of six children, and I grew up on a farm in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. I earned my B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Auburn University in 1986. I have been actively practicing for 33 years, specializing in the science of integrative hormone balance for 18 years. In 2005, I completed an extended study course at the University of Florida, on The Science of Pharmaceutical Compounding. My passion remains in the area of women’s health, and the integration of all aspects in our lives that contribute to wellness for everyone. I am especially blessed to have been married to my husband for 30 years. We have two adult children, both pursuing advanced medical degrees. I enjoy flower gardening, walking my dog, and vacationing at the beach.

Courtney Beasley, PharmD.

Compounding Pharmacist
I’m Courtney Beasley, and I graduated from VCU School of Pharmacy in May 2021. I was thrilled to be offered a position here at Rx3, and I jumped right into becoming a compounding pharmacist. I could not have imagined a better place to start my pharmacy career; working here is like having a second family. When I’m not working at the pharmacy, you’ll most likely find me at the gym. Here at Rx3 we promote a healthy lifestyle for our customers, and I strive to live by that
philosophy as well.

Maria Torsiello, PharmD.

Pharmacist
I am Maria Torsiello, and I am from Nutley New Jersey. I received my Doctor of Pharmacy along with a Concentration in Public Health in 2020 from Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy, located in Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania. I interned at a family-owned independent pharmacy where I performed medication therapy management services such as comprehensive medication reviews and addressed drug therapy concerns. I received a Medication Therapy Management
Certification through APhA in 2019. I moved to Virginia in 2020 and worked as a staff pharmacist at a corporate pharmacy chain before coming to Rx3 Pharmacy. I have loved my time with Rx3 Pharmacy because I have a passion for assisting patients on their health journey and Rx3 Pharmacy provides an opportunity to build patient relationship combined with the art of making compounded medications. I particularly enjoy learning about nutrition, gut health, microbiome, and functional medicine. In my spare time I love anything outdoors, especially just relaxing and tending to my vegetable and herb garden.

Meghan Haynes, PharmD.

Pharmacist
I’m Meghan Haynes, and I’ve been with Rx3 since June 2021. I’m originally from West Point, VA, and I received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry before attending VCU School of Pharmacy. Prior to coming to Rx3, I worked at Walgreens for 5 years, and I was the pharmacy manager for most of that time. Working at Rx3 has sparked my passion for compounding, and I truly love the flexibility to prepare custom personalized medications for our patients. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, and our two dogs.
